Now hiring an experienced animal caretaker to join our Pet Care team! Pet Attendants provide basic needs for cats & dogs in daycare/boarding, and are responsible for facility cleaning and maintenance. The role may include assistance with patient care such as safe restraint of patients during treatment. Shifts vary butrequire applicant's availability to work a combination of weekday mornings, days, nights, weekends and holidays. Approximately 20-25 hours/week. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have completed high school and be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a noisy environment. This is not a seasonal position, but rather year-round, long-term commitment.

Essential responsibilities as a Pet Attendant include:

• Observes patients for obvious signs of health concerns and reports to medical staff
• Cleans and disinfects areas of the hospital as often as is necessary to maintain high standards of care
• Prepares patient meals, cleans patient cages and bedding, and maintains litter boxes
• Handles pets with a calm and reassuring manner
• Removes and washes soiled laundry and keeps clean laundry stocked
• Bathing animals
• Documenting details of pets' stay
• Feeding, watering, exercising and medicating pets according to schedule.
• Patrols facility regularly to ensure cleanliness. Thoroughly cleans and disinfects the facility (including maintenance and janitorial duties), grounds upkeep and restocking of hospital supplies
• Providing top-notch customer service by giving pet owners a detailed report of their pet's experience.
• Securing the building before and after each shift
• Other job duties as assigned
