The DogSmith of Palm Beach County, is a Luxury, Boutique style, dog boarding & training establishment, run from a calm home environment. We are located in Palm Beach Gardens we are looking for Experienced Senior Resort Specialists, with an interest in dog training. You should have professional experience in the pet care field such as vet tech, groomer, pet sitter, dog walker, kennel hand, rescue, barn help or doggie day care and boarding experience. We are hiring candidates that want to pursue a career in the pet industry, and are passionate about working with animals and our team, we are looking to find someone who wants to help grow the business and to grow with us.

We are looking for candidates that have their own transport, phone and are reliable, enthusiastic and very hard working. They will need to get along well with other staff members and work as a team in an often fast paced environment.

The job involves 8-hour shifts. The first shift starts at 7am-3pm second shift is 10:00am-6:00pm. Monday - Sunday. We are open for business 365 days of the year including Holidays and weekends. Services we offer our clients are Boarding & Training, Daycare & Training, Dog walks and pet sitting as well as light grooming, baths, nail clips etc.

A weekend shift will be required . More weekend shifts are available if you prefer to work weekends.

We have Part time and full time positions available to start right away.

Duties involve:

Basic dog training, feeding dogs, giving medications, grooming, walking dogs, and cleaning of kennels and yard. You will be spending lots of time outside in the Florida weather playing, training and supervising the dogs. We are outside in all kinds of weather rain or shine, if you like working with Dogs of all sizes and breed types, this is a great opportunity for you. However it is a very physical job. You will get dogs that pull you and jump up on you, patience is a must. Greeting my clients in a professional manner is very important, good customer service experience is a plus. We practice "Positive Reinforcement" dog training and pet care handling , there are always opportunities to learn and grow in this pet care & dog training field.
