Job description
Supervisor of PET is responsible for:
- The daily operational supervision of the PET department.
- Responsible for the receipt, preparation, utilization, and administration of radioactive materials as determined by state and federal laws and department guidelines.
- Reviews and verifies the QA performed in unit doses received from outside vendors and complies with department and state guidelines regarding equipment and policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the PET departments to include the direct supervision of technologists and the daily operation as it relates to organizing schedules and directing activities.
- This position will assist management with the monitoring the quality, safety, productivity and the appropriateness of services provided to achieve the best-individualized care possible for all patients based on age appropriateness.
- Must maintain all required license to perform the job responsibilities.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules if necessary.
- Must meet all behavioral and ADA standards as delineated in the job description.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree-Note: Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and A.M.A. accredited Radiology Technology program or and AMA accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
Licensure/Certification:
- BLS
- ARRT or NMTCB or equivalent
- CRT FL State License
Experience Required:
- Minimum five (5) years experience as a PET / Nuclear Medicine technologist
- Minimum one(1) year in a leadership role in PET / Nuclear Medicine.
- Working knowledge of clinical, regulatory and technical functioning of the PET and Nuclear Medicine department.
- Interpersonal skills to provide effective leadership to staff and maintain a collaborative working
- relationship in an interdisciplinary model.
- Knowledge of licensing, regulatory and credentialing bodies such as JCAHO, State, NMCTB, ACRIN and other agencies in a medical environment.
