Job Description – Ginn Mineral Technology

Title: Pilot Plant Technician

Reports to: Vice President of Operations

Based at: Ginn Mineral Technology, Sandersville, GA

Job purpose: To work on small and large scale pilot plant operations. This person will need to wear many hats and is expected to assist in projects involving materials from many industries and applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist in maintaining and managing equipment (including coordinating with vendor-supported maintenance per schedule)

· Assist with set-up and maintenance of small scale and pilot scale equipment

· Assist in managing projects and schedules

· Operating laboratory equipment such as pH meters, moisture balances, sedigraph, calorimeter, brightness meter, etc.

· Effective communication skills

· Proactive and efficient in problem solving

· Reviewing or analyzing test results in order to locate inconsistencies or malfunctions.

· Client and service oriented.

· Experience in establishing and monitoring KPIs and metrics preferred

Skills and Specifications

• Able to identify complicated problems and research for related information to build and evaluate options and execute solutions.
• Well versed in applying scientific methods and rules to solve problems.
• Highly skilled in quality and performance control analysis of services, products, or processes.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong deductive reasoning ability and problem solving skills
• Self-driven & results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality.
• A natural forward planner who critically assesses their own performance.

Education and Qualifications

• 2 - 5 years of experience, preferred, working in small and large scale pilot plant projects.
• Experience in thermal processing preferred.
• Experience operating laboratory equipment such as pH meters, moisture balances, sedigraph, calorimeter, brightness meter, etc. preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
