Job description

As the Controller of our poultry processing plant, you will play a critical role in driving our financial success. You will lead the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions while managing our plant accounting staff, overseeing payroll, and ensuring appropriate accounting controls are in place to safeguard our assets.

You will be responsible for providing credible financial analysis to support plant operations and collaborating with other departments to improve the total cost of operations. Additionally, you will conduct audits, ensure tax compliance, and analyze financial statements to assist management in making informed decisions.

You will be a key member of our leadership team and will maintain strong business relationships across all departments. Your expertise will be critical in providing regular internal and external financial reporting and forecasting efforts.

As the ideal candidate, you will have a strong finance background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of success in financial management. You will provide direction to management and maintain and develop business relationships with leadership across all departments.

You will conduct or coordinate audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and statutes. Additionally, you will oversee tax filings to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
