Plant Manager

Position Summary:

Hands-on role in our Refton, Pennsylvanian stone veneer manufacturing plant. Overseeing daily operations of the manufacturing floor and yard in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Maintain safety expectations, quality standards and productivity to achieve company goals

Reports to:

· Director of Manufacturing

Essential Job Responsibilities and Functions:

· Maintain safe work environment. Identify areas for improvement and set safety goals; manage operations so goals are met.

· Ensure product quality meets company standards.

· Maximize production output and labor efficiency. Monitor flow of work, manage productivity of employees

· Provide thorough training for new personnel. Coach employees by participating in the work flow and encourage a sense of team work.

· Set the example in all areas of production and maintain consistent accountability.

· Work alongside employees to gain perspective, trust and experience

· Track breaks, wireless device usage, visitors, cleanliness, beginning and end of day activities

· Coach employees by participating in the work flow and encourage a sense of team work

· Adhere to production schedule and make staffing adjustments as needed to meet production demands.

· Confirm daily production totals for accuracy

· Maintain proper level of production materials required for production.

· Provide oversight to accuracy and productivity of yard inventory and orders pulled for shipment

· Responsible for employee performance measures including interviews, reviews and disciplinary action if required

· Set the example in all areas of production and maintain consistent accountability

· Protect the confidentiality of our business

· Maintain professionalism at all times

· Other tasks as assigned

· Meet Quality Standards and Expectations

· Increase productivity and reduce costs to meet company goals

· Accuracy in inventory and pulled orders

Position Requirements:

• This is a safety-sensitive position and a drug screen will be required prior to employment.

· Communicate clearly in both written and verbal form

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities strongly desired, but not required.

· Assume leadership responsibilities seriously and balance company and employee needs

· Strong computer skills

· Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word

· Manage, direct and motivate employees

· Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task

· Effectively problem solve and think critically

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

· Prior supervisory experience and construction/masonry or production experience helpful

Education and Work Experience:

· Prior supervisory experience and construction/masonry or production experience helpful but not required

Physical Capabilities:

· Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing and walking

· Perform frequent pushing/pulling, hand gripping and grasping, bending at the waist, and repetitive wrist movements

· Individual must be able to lift +/- 50 lbs.

Job Type:

• Fulltime Salary

Pay:

• $52,000 annual salary
• Negotiable with experience
