Summary
The Plant Operator is vital in the overall operation of the plant and facilities. Plant Operators perform the tasks necessary for the day-to-day operations and production of product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Open and close valves for product transfers
- General preventative maintenance of pump and valve systems
- Equipment operations
- Periodic inspection of tanks
- Mechanical troubleshooting of plant systems
- Weigh-in trucks, pre and post-loading
- Load emulsion trucks
- General Labor
- Follow all safety policies and practices
- All other duties as assigned
Work Environment
This position requires its responsibilities to be performed in an asphalt emulsions manufacturing plant. Plants are outdoors and may require that work be done in adverse weather condition. Work conditions may involve exposure to hot materials, chemicals, fumes, dust, odors, gases, and other substances used in a construction environment.
