RESPONSIBILITES
People-based
- Supervise and motivate post-production creative personnel (editors, graphic and motion designers, colorists, etc.). Act as liaison between the CEO & Office Manager/HR to address any performance concerns.
- Maintain clarity of information and good channels of communication between Producers, Project Coordinator, Creatives, freelancers to ensure flow of services and make sure review and approval happens at critical times.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, defining and deploying the Post-Production processes and guidelines. Foresee any issues that might impede, stall or delay an editor or designer’s, etc. work and find creative solutions to resolve them.
- Collaborate with the Director of Production Operation & IT and Executive Producer to codify and disseminate post-production best practices and policies, sourcing innovative solutions to improve efficiency and enforce compliance. Continually work to optimize process and workflow.
Project-based
- Manage the workload of multiple concurrent projects to ensure that all tasks in the final stages of a project's production are finished on time and within budget.
- Manage project budgets and timelines.
- Lead project teams and client communications.
- Serve as the main lead throughout the production process, from pre-pro to delivery.
- Facilitate project-related team meetings (i.e. kick-offs, status, internal/client reviews, etc.) to communicate action steps that ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
- QC/proof all deliverables.
- Be a contributing and collaborative member of the VMG producer team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- You have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a corporate video production environment, but we welcome people from non-traditional backgrounds with transferable skill sets.
- You have at least 2 years of relevant management experience
- You are people savvy and manage expectations and communication deftly and firmly while translating client goals and needs to creative teams.
- You have the ability to work professionally, calmly and creatively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- You are a self-starter who instinctively takes charge, has a positive ‘team player’ approach, and is comfortable in a dynamic and rapidly evolving, matrix environment.
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven skills in creativity, problem-solving, follow-through, attention to detail, and priority setting.
JOB SKILLS
- You have a deep knowledge of the post-production and production process and equipment, specifically transcoding, audio editing, audio mixing, color grading and file organization.
- You have a comprehensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
- You have experience working with several of our main production workflows, such as: animation, live action, motion graphics, web design, eLearning, social, email marketing, digital advertising.
- You understand the importance of client relations and are flexible with your time in order to respond promptly or hit a delivery deadline.
