Job Title: Potting Team Member
Reports To: Potting Coordinator
Position Status: Full Time/Part Time/Seasonal
Compensation: Hourly, Non-Exempt
General Job Description
A Potting Team Member is responsible for potting of products that will be transported to the various field and greenhouse locations around the nursery.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely utilize various potting manufacturing equipment
- Drive various nursery vehicles including but not limited to Kubota RTVs, Gator RTVs, small tractors, and forklifts
- Assist by planting containerized plants in various sizes.
- Set out new potted plants in growing areas in neat and organized patterns in a determined place using hands, handcarts, tractors and wagons.
- Help in constructing drip irrigation systems.
- Lay and repair weed-mat.
- Assists with Inventory.
- Assist in general maintenance activities, this may include but is not limited to weed mat repair and greenhouse maintenance
- Move, space and prune plants.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to develop a strong awareness of current plant locations and status;
- Ability to efficiently manage daily tasks and prioritize duties,
- Ability to learn plant names (both common and botanical)

Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Must be energetic and be able to work long shifts with very little sitting.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for 95% of a daily shift.
- Must be able to bend and lift, using both arms repeatedly.
- Must be able to grip, pinch and carry/transport multiple potted plants
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 800lb. wheeled racks/wagons
- Must be able to perform tasks with arms raised above shoulder level.
- Must be able to perform tasks on low ladders.
- Must be able to work in adverse and uncomfortable weather and temperatures. This includes temperatures below freezing and temperatures above 100*F.
- Must be able to walk across uneven terrain
