· Minimum Associates Degree, or related work experience;

· PowerSchool Database experience preferred.

· Fluent in Microsoft Office 365

· Knowledge of Database Development;

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and private vehicle;

Job Goal:

Assists the Technology Manager in planning, directing, implementing, operating, maintaining and upgrading the District’s student Database system.

· Works as part of a team to coordinate planning, scheduling and executing computer equipment installations and determine project scopes and limitations;

· Assists in developing short/long term strategies and capacity planning to meet future needs;

· Supports the development and implementation of new computer programs;

· Keeps abreast of the latest developments in hardware and software technologies obtaining clear knowledge of their functions;

· Keeps informed of technology by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and participating in professional organizations;

· Enhances skills by earning certification endorsements in specialist areas of technology;

· Preserves the confidentiality of all students, parents/guardians and employees;

· Performs such other duties and assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Technology Manager.

PowerSchool Administrator

Duties and

Responsibilities

· Maintain PowerSchool app server and data server.

· PowerSchool Build (each year at each building):

· Set up everything involved in scheduling (Courses, Periods, Sections, Years and Terms, Bell Schedules, etc.)

· Set up for PowerTeacher and Gradebook. (Current Grade Display, Final Grade Setup, and Final Grade Entry, etc.)

· Roll over all schools to the new school year.

· Set up PowerScheduler to create schedules for all middle school students before the rollover.

· Set up the school calendar each year for each school and maintain it throughout the year.

· Set up attendance preferences and conversions each year for ADA.

· Set up reporting segments each year for embedded reports (Date ranges)

· Create new staff accounts, move staff from school to school, activate/deactivate accounts, create User ID’s and Passwords.

· Periodic PowerSchool, PowerTeacher, GradeBook, Parent Portal, and ReportWorks updates and maintenance.

· Create PowerSchool Object Reports and ReportWorks reports. Maintain created reports periodically including 3 separate report cards (in English and Spanish); 3 separate progress reports (in English and Spanish); health screening report, quarterly attendance report, parent portal letters (in English and Spanish), emergency contact info (in English and Spanish), etc.

· Create custom fields and custom pages as needed.

· Maintain PowerTeacher Administrator, which gives principals/assistant principals the ability to monitor teacher's gradebooks.

· Store grades and process report cards and honor roll. Make corrections as needed. (Every term for each school)

· Train staff in PowerSchool and PowerTeacher

· Create all documentation and training materials.

· Serve as Helpdesk for PowerSchool/PowerTeacher users

· Export data from PowerSchool for various departments such as ELL, SpEd, Curriculum, Pre-K/Head Start, Transportation, etc.

· Export data for Lifetouch.

· Format and import student and staff data for Scholastic programs each school year. (Read 180, FastMath).

· Format and import student and staff data for ISEL each school year and maintain data as needed throughout the year.

· Format and import student and staff data into Destiny library system.

· Format and import student and staff data to MAP before each testing period (Fall, Winter, Spring). Maintain data as needed throughout the year.

· Assist with Edulink Data Maintenance through PowerSchool

· Assist FRL person with data as needed

· Assist SIS Admin with student or staff information from PowerSchool for SIS if/when it’s needed.

· Backup SIS Admin

· Import SIS Student ID's into PowerSchool

· Any other information from PowerSchool as needed by Main Office staff or School Administrators.
