• Assist in executing the public relations plan and annual strategic initiatives including media showroom execution, event planning, seasonal lookbook creation, sample management and product/asset requests.
• Assist in the planning, organization and execution of PR activations and events including media showrooms, product launches, press trips, and more.
• Support the development of communications materials including campaign messaging, press releases, and briefing documents.
• Work closely with the external Public Relations agencies on a daily basis.
• Assist in evaluating incoming media requests, determine course of action and work with PR agencies and/or PR Manager to execute.
• Manage and coordinate media sample inventory; supporting media requests and opportunities for the brand.
• Assist with media training for Eddie Bauer spokespeople including product team and Eddie Bauer Guide team.
• Manage product education and Eddie Bauer spokesperson preparation process ahead of interviews, showrooms, and any other events where spokespeople are relaying product or company information to the media.
• Develop relationships with key active outdoor, fashion and lifestyle media.

• Maintain a keen eye on social, industry and economic trends that affect company; work with PR Manager to advise strategies to take advantage of trends or avoid issues and crises.
• Work with PR Manager to identify opportunities and implement tactics to leverage and maximize media placements with consumer facing programs and events.
• Assist in paid media execution.

• Undergraduate degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field.
• 1-5 years of experience in public relations or related field.
• Superior written and verbal communications skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to manage up, down and across.
• Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at many levels and verticals.
• Prolific intuition and judgment.
• Ability to integrate into marketing initiatives outside of PR and partner across channels.

This is a full-time position. As an International Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
