Our very busy Primary Care practice is looking for an experienced Practice Manager to oversee all operational, clinical and administrative aspects of our East Bridgewater Internal Medicine site. This position requires an experienced, dedicated manager who is searching for a challenging and fast-paced role.
General Summary / Overview Statement:
This exempt management position, Practice Manager, directs plans and coordinates the operational, clinical and administrative efforts of the practice or department. The manager is a liaison to providers and administration, manages and develops staff, analyzes workflow, oversees the site / department budget, etc. The manager is responsible to assure the coordination of quality cost-effective care. The Practice Manager will also assist the Director in accomplishing department goals and completing various projects as assigned.
- Performs as the liaison between providers and administration
- Develops short and long term work plans for goals of the site/department
- Develops appropriate protocols and trains staff in such, relevant to the department / site
- Oversees daily office operations and delegates authority to assigned supervisors and staff.
- Develops workflow and implements changes according to the needs of the site/department
- Developing and implementing with supervisors and staff both short- and long-term work plans and objectives for clerical functions.
- Manages the site/department budget.
- Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary. Ensures that office is staffed appropriately.
- Assists in the recruiting, hiring, orientation, development, and evaluation of clerical staff, including
- Responsible for the selection, orientation, development, training and evaluation of all staff
- Assures the site/department is in compliance with related regulatory offices and guidelines, (ex. OSHA,
- Serves as the liaison between site/department and external agencies, vendors, etc.
- Assures optimal customer service, is the liaison for patients, and assures follow through on all patient
- Collaborates with providers to ensure quality patient care and services
- Participates in professional development activities to keep current with health care trends and practices
- Regularly evaluates the site / department for effectiveness in workplace protocols, workflow, and patient satisfaction
- Oversees and approves office supply inventory, ensures that mail is opened and processed, and offices are opened and closed according to procedures.

Qualifications:
- Demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience managing a healthcare practice (primary care experience preferred).
- Leadership qualities and able to manage changing priorities
- Ability to exercise diplomacy to resolve related issues
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
- Knowledge of medical practice management, terminology, budgeting, and reimbursement policies.
- Demonstrated skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising.
- Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Excellent in verbal and written communication skills
Working Conditions:
- This is a sedentary position and may require extended periods of time at a work station using a keyboard and mouse.
- Frequent talking, hearing, and occasionally walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, and ability to adjust vision for close visualization-oriented tasks.
- Work is performed in an indoor environment and with both natural and artificial lighting.
- Exposure to patients in various states of hygiene & emotional condition.
- Potential risk of exposure to blood borne and airborne pathogens and bodily fluids.
