Optimus Health Care is a Federally Qualified Health Care Center with sites operating in Bridgeport, Stamford and Stratford, CT. We are the largest provider of primary health care services in Fairfield County, proudly serving all patients regardless of their ability to pay. We are presently recruiting for a Practice Manager for our Residency Program located in Stamford, CT.

The Residency Practice Manager is responsible for the administration of day-to-day operations of the residency program ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education and American Board of Family Medicine. The Residency Manager acts as the central coordinator between faculty, attending physicians, residents, medical students, and the residency program clinical practice, other institutional departments, and regulatory authorities.
The Residency Practice Manager is responsible for providing assistance, directing, planning, coordinating and supervising the operations within a designated site. The Residency Practice Manager will assist senior leadership with long-term planning of priorities to maintain operations ensuring activities are appropriately integrated into the strategic direction, as well as the mission and values of the organization while ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies such as the Joint Commission and the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
1. Responsible for enforcing Optimus’ mission and strategic vision and PCMH model.
2. Create and update faculty, resident and mid-level clinician’s schedules.
3. Adhere to Program Letters of Agreement with participating institutions.
4. Serves as the liaison for onboarding and orientation activities of new residents. Collaboration with clinical areas, medical staff affairs, information technologies, education and training and other appropriate entities to ensure a timely and efficient onboarding experience for all new residents.
5. Provide oversight for all resident schedules, including rotation, call, clinic etc, to ensure that all governing body requirements are met in collaboration with program directors.
6. Recommend operational improvements to improve efficiency, effectiveness and patient experience.
7. Supervise and serve as a resource for the daily operations and activities of the site, including managing and oversight of provider patient schedules, daily front office staffing and responsibilities, patient access, patient continuity and patient flow.
8. Analyze data, including visits per provider/site, no-show rate, third next day appointment, payor mix and implement changes to improve operations and quality of care provided.
9. Establish goals, objectives, and procedures for improving operations, including increasing the number of visits of the site, patient experience and customer service.
10. Work closely with the Human Resources Department on recruitment of front office staff, staff development and employee performance standards.
11. Assist with the business and financial affairs of the site and contribute to the fiscal management in conjunction with the Finance Department.
12. Collaborate with the site clinical coordinator to ensure medical records are completed and closed in the time required in accordance with Optimus policy.


EXPERIENCE
: Residency program experience is required, with at least five years’ experience in the medical field. Experience in Health Care Practice Management Systems or Nursing Operations Management experience preferred.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an Associate’s Degree with 5 years’ supervisory experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bi-lingual Spanish/English helpful
