Martek Global Services has been awarded several long-term Federal contracts to provide a wide range of IT talent. Our team is seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant to support active contracts for US Federal Government agencies. As a Nuvolo and ServiceNow solutions partner, the ideal candidate has previous experience in both ServiceNow implementation and a pre-sales customer-facing role. The Solution Consultant (SC) will play a very important role in the execution of Martek’s growth strategy by partnering with our Sales and Delivery teams. Using your past experience and knowledge, the SC will assist in the development of service offerings and execution of our go-to-market strategy.

Telework: This position is remote. May require limited travel in the US

Responsibilities & Duties

The Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant will leverage their knowledge and experience to provide solutions scoping for new work on the Nuvolo and ServiceNow platforms as well as provide prospective customers with product and solution advice during pre-sales discussions. Additional duties include:

  • Assist customers with transformation by recommending solutions that align with their desired outcomes.
  • Consult with customers and prospects to understand their needs and pain-points and help evangelize the business value and merits of the Nuvolo and ServiceNow platforms.
  • Demonstrate to customers and prospects the capabilities and functionality of Nuvolo/ServiceNow.
  • Assist with process and/or technical workshops that may include enablement sessions.
  • Engage Nuvolo and ServiceNow Solution Consultant on solutioning on the respective platforms.
  • Engage with prospects, customers, Martek Sales, and Delivery team members to translate business challenges into requirements and requirements to solutions.
  • Lead discovery sessions with prospects and customer in order to develop a solution scope that results in an initial ROM (rough-order-of-magnitude) and through further discovery convert the ROM to an SOW.
  • Learn about other technologies (high-level) that may be required to integrate with Nuvolo/ServiceNow for a complete solution
  • Obtain and maintain pre-sales Nuvolo & ServiceNow certifications for targeted product lines

Job Qualifications:

Educational Requirements

  • BS or MS in Information Systems, Computer Science or other relevant degree.

Experience Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a solution/sales engineer or a consultant for a technology company
  • Strong functional knowledge and hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform.
  • ITIL Foundations v3 or higher certification and/or working knowledge of ITIL concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Understanding of web services (e.g. SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML).
  • Passion for problem-solving and solution selling.
  • Knowledge of web development or mobile app development, business modeling, database concepts and project management – preferably using Agile Development Methodologies.
  • Exceptional oral, written and presentation skills, with ability to organize and present technical material in an easily understood manner.
  • Deep insight on technical architectures, IT products and product positioning.
  • ServiceNow certifications and accreditations are preferred.
  • Experience on other SaaS platforms such as: Atlassian, BMC, Big Panda, Salesforce, etc. is a plus.
  • Understanding of JavaScript, HTML and libraries/frameworks such AngularJS, jQuery, Prototype and bootstrap fundamentals a plus.
  • Experience with monitoring solutions, end point collection, IoT, machine learning and other emerging technologies is a plus.
