We are currently looking to add 2 Draftsman with Construction (precast is a PLUS) Structural and Land Development experience to join our growing company. Local talent only, please.
Job Summary
Under the supervision of a project manager, the Draftsman performs a variety of design/drafting activities including preparing/updating/reviewing installation drawings for projects and preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings.
Other duties to be performed as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings and more complex drawings.
- Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes.
- Review blueprints, plans, specifications and other customer documentation if service is requested by the project manager.
- Revise and update drawings to ensure consistent documentation of the project.
- Works with the project manager on guidelines for installation drawings which meet and exceed the customer’s requirements (bid and submittal phase). Implement these requirements on drawings sent to the customer.
- Develop accurate quality take-offs.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in drafting or related field; or completion of AutoCAD training
- 3 years experience with AutoCAD software
- Experience with take-off system
- Experience with Storm, Sewer and Water Meter Vault drawings
- Excellent communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.
- Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office.
- Able to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications
- Able to work with minimal supervision, strong multitasking skills and efficiently schedule and manage time
