SUMMARY
Purpose of this position is to set up and run a printing press/collator to create printed business forms per customer’s specifications. Work with various punch dies, numbering heads, and cutoff blades. Check quality and perform small maintenance on machine.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Read and follow instructions set forth in copy folder to meet customer specifications.
2. Insert a shaft through collator roll and web the machine for operation.
3. Set up equipment to produce forms.
4. Perform quality control inspections of finished product for quality standard set by customer and LSC Communications.
5. Package product into cartons requiring repetitive motion with hands.
6. Steel-toed shoes, eye and ear protection must be worn at all times while working in the plant area as a safety precaution.
7. Understand and comply with the plant quality system.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Stack finished cartons on pallets.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
1. General knowledge of the collating/label application machines.
2. Ability to read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications containing collating requirements.
3. Skill in setting up and adjusting machines for finishing operations
4. Able to calculate distances, clearances, and fits
5. Skill in using the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain machinery.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent. No experience or training necessary.
