This position will include evaluation of a broad range of technical data.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Lead the design, build, and component level testing of avionics mechanical systems and hardware, including custom enclosures
- Perform structural and thermal analysis of mechanical components and/or assemblies to meet program requirements
- Perform dynamic structural analyses such as random vibration
- Create drawings and work instructions for all hardware
- Support shop technicians with the assembly and integration of avionics components onto the vehicle
- Test components and/or assemblies to prepare for integrated ground testing
- Develop engineering tools, as needed, to complete their tasking
