Estimator
Stratis Visuals, a growing print and fulfillment company, is seeking a Print Estimator with technical knowledge of commercial printing. This position can be performed at our Torrington, CT or Newark, DE plants and comes with a work-from-home remote option.

The ideal candidate has experience creating estimates and production plans for offset and digital printing along with related finishing in the retail signage market.

Ideal Candidate Skills & Abilities

• Strong background in math, detailed oriented, with good verbal and written skills
• Familiarity with commercial printing equipment, including sheet-fed offset presses, flatbed and sheet-fed digital presses. Knowledge of finishing equipment, including cutting, die cutting, taping, gluing, folding, stitching, and kitting.
• Familiarity with retail point-of-purchase signage, including window signs, stanchions, toppers, endcaps, side panels, banners, clings, inserts, tags, channel strips, standees, and other related signage.
• Strong time-management and critical thinking skills. The ability to complete estimates accurately and on-time in a very challenging environment.
• Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities and demanding customers
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve, working closely with peers and management, on-site or remotely.
• Proficiency with Excel, Teams, and proper use of Outlook email.
• Experience using an MIS system, with specific experience using EFI Pace a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and timely cost estimates and related pricing, using the EFI

Pace estimating module.

• Evaluate customer specifications and needs, including furnished spreadsheets that define the job scope, sketches, graphic files, prior printed pieces, mock-ups, and sample layouts.
• Estimate labor and material costs, establish production times for all phases of the printing and finishing process.
• Determine optimal layouts, based on a wide range of factors, including substrate availability, sizes, inks, finishing, kitting, and shipping requirements.
• Perform complex calculations as required using additional tools such as Excel.
• Perform self-inspection of completed estimates to verify accuracy. Identify areas of a job plan that could become issues in production, highlight with notes special requirements, work closely with CSRs to hand-off job intent and scope of work.
• Support lean thinking and mistake-proofing efforts. Help implement quality improvements, reduce turn times, and take out waste and cost.
• Be flexible in work duties, support teammates in peak workloads and vacations.
• Have fun and a good sense of humor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.63 - $34.85 per hour
