The Surgery Center at Jensen Beach is seeking an experienced and diligent Certified Sterile Processing Technician, SPD, to join our team.

Our fast-paced, busy surgery center is committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Position Responsibilities:

• The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
• Four 10-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

• Must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
• Four 10-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Organized setting up operating room instrument tray.
• Understands the operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.

If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Instrument Room Technician: 2 years (Preferred)
• All Types of Sterilizers: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CSPDT (Preferred)
