Under the direction of the Engineering department, the Process Engineer -CAD Designer is responsible for providing complex technical support to all manufacturing functions. Uses CAD equipment to provide support to engineers by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and process engineering and tooling solutions using various CAD & CAM software.

· Analyze and investigate manufacturing engineering tasks.

· Interface and support other departments to participate in specifications, design, and manufacturing applications.

· Provide production support and problem resolution.

· Prioritize and manage multiple projects within specification and budget restrictions.

· Participate in project planning, processing and material procurement.

· Creates and revises production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).

· Sketches rough layout of machine and computes angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages and location of holes.

· Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings.

· Drafts detailed multi-view drawings of machine and products.

· Draws finished designs from sketches.

· Communicates with tooling, QA, engineering and manufacturing regarding new and revised prints.

· Converts existing production drawings to SolidWorks.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 3 year’s CAD experience.

· Associates degree or higher in Mechanical Design preferred but not required.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.

· Ability to manage priorities and workflow.

· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.

· Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.

· Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
