Job Description:

V2X Advanced Technology is seeking an experienced procurement professional to join the Sensors and Advanced Solutions (SAS) Supply Chain team. The Procurement Specialist will support the entire Advanced Technology portfolio and is a 100% remote position. The procurement professional will procure medium to complex materials, services and repair requirements in support of multiple programs and help identify supplier sources and pricing for pursuits. The procurement professional will work closely with external suppliers and internal customers. The procurement professional will be responsible for domestic and international procurements, for both US Government and Commercial customers.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Review and assess purchase requisitions to ensure all criteria and requirements are included / addressed.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and purchase history to determine sourcing strategy.
  • Performing bid activities, to include supply chain sourcing strategies and alternatives.
  • Review quotes and determine negotiation plans/strategies as well as addressing any exceptions to flow downs, specifications, quality requirement or terms and conditions requirements.
  • If applicable work with supplier to prepare cost and pricing data in preparation for CAPA review in accordance with TINA.
  • Conduct formal negotiations with suppliers to achieve fair and reasonable results. If applicable, perform supplier assessments with the program team to finalize supplier selection.
  • Formally document purchase orders including details of summary of award; source justification; price analysis methodology; negotiation strategy and summary; performance to budget / target; and risk assessment.
  • Perform routine post-award management activities including PO acknowledgement, delivery status, expediting, receiving and invoicing issues.
  • Communicate clearly and be proactive in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Drive tasks to completion.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience in supply chain, preferably in procurement or subcontracts
  • DoD procurement experience and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
  • Experience placing PO’s of high complexity and high dollar values
  • Strong negotiation skills - ability to lead formal negotiations and teleconferences (price, schedule, and supplier exceptions to contractual flow down requirements)
  • Proficiency to perform and comprehend price and cost analysis, source selection/justification, analysis of supplier quotations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal customers and all levels of management
  • Excellent time management skills - manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet team performance cadence (PR/PO updates; PR cycle time, on-time-delivery and other company metrics)
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills – influence, presence, ability to interface internally and with suppliers
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and ability to think strategically
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly assimilate new information, processes and tools and adapt to change
  • Ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate across the enterprise in a virtual environment
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), SAP, on-line PO documentation tools, supplier management tools, etc.

  • Experience with international procurements
  • Experience procuring for commercial end-customers
  • Experience with nondisclosure agreements, long term agreements and teaming agreements
  • Experience developing risk mitigation strategies
  • Experience managing subcontracts
  • Experience analyzing prime contracts for applicable subcontractor/vendor flowdowns
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
  • Six Sigma and productivity improvement experience
  • Working knowledge of Raytheon systems, processes, and procedures
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a US Government Security Clearance

Required Education:

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 6 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience.
