Our rapidly expanding Vendor Governance Solutions (VGS) practice is looking for a Procurement/Vendor Governance Client Manager that will act as the head of the procurement/vendor governance function for one of our key clients – one of the largest/most prestigious law firms globally.

Specific responsibilities for the Procurement/Vendor Governance Client Manager role encompass a broad scope of duties, including the following:

Responsibilities

  • Lead all procurement/vendor governance activities as contracted at assigned leading law firm client
  • Support and manage all aspects of relationship/project including guiding internal resources, facilitating requirements, conducting data analysis and research, and implementing the identified opportunities directly alongside client senior management
  • Support project financials, practice operations as well as business development and proposal efforts
  • Provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining client needs, evaluating, and validating analyses
  • Develop recommendations for the client in the context of the overall engagement and implementing change while minimizing organizational disruption
  • Work directly with client management and executives on a routine basis on status as it pertains to project progression
  • Ensure high quality content development and delivery - Independently structure, write, and present well-organized and persuasive end products
  • Promote HBR development by taking initiative to identify and expand relationship at assigned client and identify opportunities to provide additional client value
  • Utilize strong communications skills including the ability to command an audience
  • Train, manage and mentor junior team members
  • Be a strong team player

Key Characteristics

  • Strong project management skills – project planning and execution
  • Broad vendor governance/procurement knowledge – across indirect categories and full procurement/vendor governance process
  • Strong EQ skills – both being able to develop/manage key C-suite relationships plus manage a broad HBR/client team of subject matter experts
  • Ability to think strategically, identify critical business issues, and develop recommendations/lead path forward
  • Ability and willingness to lean-in and progress actives at client[SE1] [GL2]

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or Management Information Systems required
  • MBA and/or JD and or/advanced degree highly desirable
  • 7+ years of relevant corporate or consulting procurement/vendor governance experience with a broad focus across indirect category areas, strategic sourcing, risk assessment, contract review and administration, buying, and supplier relationship management
  • Exceptional analytic skills and experience conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • Permanent U.S. work authorization
  • Opportunity to travel depending on client assignments (0 – 25%)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
