The opportunity

Independently, gathers and analyzes information from various sources for item set-up requests (UPC codes, packaging details, product cost, etc.) to ensure adherence to established standards of product categories, branding guidelines, packaging components, planning and production processes and retailer-specific requirements.

The role

• Updates designated systems to ensure smooth flow of product through manufacturing and distribution to meet deadlines and customer expectations. Identifies, addresses and resolves issues/problems as they occur and reports status to team during weekly cross functional meetings.
• Compiles finished product specifications and alerts manufacturing vendors of changes to deliver brand and customer-specified product, packaging, casing, and labeling information to costing and manufacturing functions.
• Maintains data integrity and consistency across multiple manufacturing and inventory systems including generating UPC codes and updating product life cycle (re-activation, discontinuation, obsolescence).
• Ensures information received from Retail Costing is complete with FOB, retail cost, margins and converted to correct unit standard cost. Maintains contract files, verifies completion of standard cost and retail pricing files.
• Works with Product Data Management (PDM), Design Merchandising, Forecasting, Planning, Manufacturing and Finance to troubleshoot items that cannot be processed.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

What you bring to the role

Knowledge & Expertise

• 3-5 years of relevant experience

Attributes

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Etc.)
• Basic understanding of full-functional computerized Order Management System such as JDE or E1 or SAP
• Basic understanding and use of Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop on a Mac or PC required
• Experience with internet platform applications (SharePoint) preferred
• Ability to work in a global team-based environment
• High level of organization, prioritization, and detail required
• Ability to assimilate information rapidly and effectively
• Must be able to work independently and to self-manage coordination duties
• Experience within a manufacturing company supplying product to Retail Customers preferred
• Hearing is required in order to hear instructions, receive information from various sources, and understand safety warnings
• Vision is required in order to read instructions, interpret data, and formulate metrics
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English in written and verbal forms
