Summary:

Columbus Forge, a recognized leader in producing disks and airfoils for the aerospace propulsion market, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of part maturation from raw material to end use.

  • Develop and implement plans that are in line with the business strategy to further our world class technology portfolio.

  • Provide operational engineering support to develop technologies and processes which support the growth curve and cost reduction targets.

  • Leverage manufacturing innovations to improve cost, delivery, and quality of aerospace disk forgings.

  • Assist with problem solving during manufacturing related investigation.

  • Own relentless RCCA for correcting non-conformance in the part families.

  • Perform DIVES.

  • Implement and monitor corrective actions Monitor and report on the health of a part family.

  • Monitoring the non-conformances and how the part ‘runs’ compared to ‘standard’ times.

  • Look for areas to optimize, automate and trim waste.

  • Maintain work instructions.

  • Support operational excellence using statistical analysis for process control and certification

  • Lead the CORE journey to continuously improve the quality and exceed customer’s expectations.

  • Develop disk process using statistical methods that meet or exceed the business objective for process control.

  • Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S program by complying with all policies and procedures

  • All other duties as assigned

  • Periodic travel required (<10%)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related technical field and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience

  • US citizenship required due to government contracts

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
