Title: Production Coordinator, SI Swimsuit
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Remote (New York, NY)
Position Overview
We are looking for a Production Coordinator to produce and manage all aspects of photo, video and activation production from concept to delivery of multichannel projects for the SI Swimsuit team. The role includes location planning, pitching clients, on set coordination, budget management, legal and administrative tasks. This position requires 50% travel. NYC based applicants are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Conduct extensive research for photo & video shoots domestic and international locations. Establish new relationships, pitch and oversee deals with partners that include hotels, travel PR companies, airlines, and tourism boards.
- Oversee all photo, video, and event production needs for crew and talent which include but not limited to: travel booking, scheduling, specialized itineraries and VIP requests, all aspects of pre-production planning, and on-site problem-solving and day-to-day operations on shoots and at events.
- Act as liaison between SI Swimsuit and travel partners for all shoots, appearances and events
- Manage, track and provide regular reporting of the operational budget, and work to bring shoots in under target.
- Negotiate with locations, airlines, hotels and production companies on all aspects of cost to meet budget requirements.
- Process all invoices, setting up new vendors and finance documents.
- Take ownership and lead all location operations and production logistics including but not limited to - carnets, booking flights, airport check ins, visas, transportations, etc.
- Lead liaison with legal through the contract and payment process for tourism boards, airlines, hotels, production companies, photographers, hair and makeup artists, and other vendors in support of the shoots
Requirements
- The ability and willingness to iterate and expand roles and responsibilities in order to accomplish the duties of the position and keep up with an ever-changing industry
- COVID protocols and international health and safety precautions knowledge a must.
- 3+ year's experience pitching and developing photo and video productions, working on set, schedules and budgets.
- Excellent communication and organization skills with the innate ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously.
- You keep cool under pressure and protect the team from burnout. You foster strong relationships with key partners. You know how to say no while providing solutions.
- You're a problem solver who seeks to understand the problem and constraints before quickly and effectively tackling it. You ask excellent questions in order to uncover learnings, opportunities, or insights.
