PRODUCTION OPERATOR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Turn on machinery at start-up and turn them off at the end of shift.

• Perform maintenance checks of all equipment prior to the production run.

• Ensure that all of the equipment is at correct settings.
• Ensure washer, filler and capper do not have any obstructions or misaligned change parts
• Notify maintenance of any issues that need to be addressed

• Obtain and load the correct size caps and color into the cap hopper.
• Load the correct labeled bottles onto the conveyor and bottle washer.
• Perform and document Food Safety and Quality checks, including odor checks, foreign object check and making sure that the cleaning concentration is at the correct level and has no carry over.
• Continuously monitor the production line, making sure that bottles are filled and capped properly.
• Place the expiration and production date code on the bottle.
• Clean up, organize and sanitize area after production run.
• Communicate with the Production Supervisor on all aspects of production including:

• Any safety/quality issues.
• When equipment is malfunctioning or not running up to speed and efficiency.
• Before leaving workstation during breaks and the end of the shift.

• Perform all tasks necessary in order to obtain desired production goal and minimize down time.

The job description of a water operator may change and could be asked to perform duties outside of the document. It is every employee’s responsibility to help in the entire operations of this facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be over the age of 21.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent.
• Water Specialist Certification, preferred.
• Must be able to have a sense of smell.

No experience needed. Onsite training

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Basic knowledge of food manufacturing, able to work well with others and follow company policies.

WORKING AND ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS

• Able to stand and lift repeatedly for a minimum of 8 – 10 hours.
• Extreme hot and cold conditions depending on the season and weather.
• Inside warehouse, some wet conditions with occasionally outside grounds keeping.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively for a minimum of 8 – 10 hours.
