Production Lead

A. Summary of Position

In charge of all the aspects of the daily operations as it effects the quality and quantity in production of MBI product. Directly responsible for supervision of direct labor personnel, receiving of incoming material, shipments, and Quality Control checks.

B. Specific Job Duties/Accountabilities:

1. Accountable for oversight of the general day to day operations to include:

a. Supervision of the entire production area and employees

b. Tracking and recording of production reports to ensure optimal output.

c. Cleanliness of plant area for safety and organization

d. Track and record employees’ attendance, tardiness and behavior.

f. Ensure orders are accurately completed and loaded for delivery and/or customer pick-up.

g. Communicate late deliveries or production delays appropriately.

2. Accountable for receipt of all incoming materials:

a. Check the accuracy of incoming quantities to actual amount received.

b. Note any discrepancies and record errors on the Bill of Lading.

c. Direct materials into proper storage area and ensure proper handling.

d. Review material requirements and notify the manager of material needs.

3. Assist the Manager in taking of monthly inventories, extending and transferring counts to inventory sheets and computer systems or RF handhelds.

a. Conduct regular spot-checks and investigate any discrepancies found.

b. Be willing to start early or end late to facilitate conducting monthly cycle counts.

4. Report daily to manager at close of day all status and assist in the making of decisions to perform the next day’s duties.

5. Learn & embrace utilizing phones, printers, scanners, and other various common modern technology frequently used in the workplace.

a. Communicate with employees, vendors, management, etc, using a mobile phone or landline.

b. Send communications to vendors, carriers, etc, using a fax machine and/or scanner.

c. Enforce the use of RF handhelds for inventory management.

d. Review the Production and Shipping logs to ensure accuracy of workflow.

6. Stress the importance of safety during everything our employees do.

a. Lead by example

b. Enforce any applicable company safety policies.

c. Assist and participate in various monthly safety meetings & exercises.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Production & Assembly Occupations: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • Spanish (Preferred)
  • English (Preferred)
