Manufacturing Manager

#NPL

The Production Manager directly manages the production team and is directly responsible for driving key production matrix. He/she must be a hands-on manager with experience in a people-intensive operation and with a proven ability to engage, mentor, and develop people.

Key Requirements:

• Experience training and managing people in a highly engaged, low-turnover environment
• Team player with very good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong soft skills and high EQ
• Proven ability to meet operating pressures/deadlines while maintaining a positive work environment
• Exposure/knowledge to world-class employee engagement and retention practices
• High school degree or equivalent
• 2-4 years of relevant work experience, including hands-on experience supervising people in a labor-intensive operation
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Directly manage a production team and work with process engineers to achieve operating results (safety, delivery, quality, and cost)
• Help set and drive production priorities and performance matrix
• Plan, define, help build and balance resources between departments to meet delivery service commitment to customers year-round
• Drive and champion LEAN principles and processes to drive performance
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Work with HR team to establish an engaged workforce with low turnover
• Identify and promote best practices in training and development
• Mentor, coach, and drive development of team
• Work with product development, process, maintenance engineers to support operations, set standards, KPIs to drive continuous improvements and introduce new product lines as needed

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
