Naturex, part of Givaudan, has an opportunity for a Production Scheduler in their South Hackensack, NJ location! As the Production Scheduler, you will be the liaison between finished goods planning and Production, ensuring seamless release of POs for the manufacturing plan for Production. You will maintain, update, and utilize SAP systems to prioritize and level load the work to the production floor.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Validate and release process orders by handling all system transactions and confirming formulation, standards, material selection, quantity, yield, final availability, maintaining on time release, and ensuring no exceptions exist.
Review selected material and collaborate with Technical Operators for formulation.
Maintain a working daily schedule for Production and Planning to align vessels and scheduled runs.
Contribute to the forecasting of Production plans to reduce service risks by identifying at risk process orders and build a plan based on the recurring situations to reduce backlog.
Liaison between Planning, Quality Control, and Production to control and ensure capacity and quality, and approve over capacity as needed, based on process orders. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise (risk materials) and understand where at-risk timelines may be and communicate accordingly.
Run and analyze reporting from SAP (shelf life, ship from stock, overyields) to further control Production optimization.
Support lean activities in Production.
Perform Production inventory location cycle counts to ensure partial materials are accurately inventoried.
Prioritize operations by making suggestions and working directly with Production department management to optimize equipment for capacity, capability and efficiency.
Work closely with Warehouse & Distribution to identify defects and opportunities to streamline product flow.
Lead daily Production schedule review meetings and follow up on all time sensitive issues and their status throughout the day.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
Climb steps on a regular and daily basis.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Reading computer screens and documents on a regular basis.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Gmail, Google Suite, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Ability to multi-task and work independently.
Ability to interpret, analyze, and present data and reports.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS
BA degree in an Industrial or Supply Chain discipline, or equivalent years of experience.
Minimum 1+ year of relevant experience in Planning, Inventory, Scheduling, or related field.
