ELECTRIC MOTORS AND SPECIALTIES (EM&S) in Garrett Indiana is a local family-owned company and has set the pace as a leader in manufacturing high-quality Unit Bearing Fan Motors for a variety of commercial and residential refrigeration applications. We are looking to fill the following positions Assembler, Winder, and Machine line. We are willing to train the right candidate that is positive and has a willingness to learn.

What will I be doing as an assembler, winder, or machine line employee?

Assembler

· Put small motors together

Winder

· Learn the winder machine that combines wire for the interior of our motors.

Machine Line

· Learn different types of machines that machine the outside castings for our motors.

All positions

· Ensure all quality standards are met as required by our ISO specifications.

· Assist other operation team members with production duties as needed.

· Operate a clean and safe workstation.

· If you don’t like spending your days in a cubicle, this is the perfect position for you! You’ll be on your feet the entire shift. You must be able to bend down, reach overhead, occasionally lift/carry up to 30lbs and push/pull pallet jacks, regularly work on repetitive tasks, regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, good vision, regularly carry/lift 10 lbs. or less, (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.)

· Look on the bright side. You work hard and stay positive, even on tough days.

· Devil is in the details. You pay attention and understand the importance of accuracy.

What is the environment like?

· No hard hats and no steel-toed boots. This isn’t your typical factory job.

· Hours: Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30pm

Saturdays 6am-12pm as needed as well.
