Provides support for the manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) in support of the business unit while meeting local, state, and federal quality and safety regulations. Obtains the materials required to support production. Completes daily checks and maintains the manufacturing area in an audit ready state and compliant with Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), FDA, GMPs, DEA regulations and all local, state and federal regulations regarding safety, health, and the environment. Assists in cleaning of the Manufacturing areas, as well as process equipment and maintaining a safe work area. Perform verifications in batch records in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.

• Ensures that all work is performed in compliance with Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), FDA, GMPs, DEA regulations and all local, state and federal regulations regarding safety, health, and the environment.
• Perform daily/weekly compliance checks of plant utility systems such as purified water checklists and port flushing, manometers, satellite waste areas, scrubbers, etc.
• Obtain reagents and raw materials required in support of production from materials control in accordance to established policies.
• Operate material handling equipment, such as forklift, drum dollies, hoists, etc.
• Clean production areas and equipment while ensuring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed and that the work area meets all requirements for housekeeping and audit readiness.
• Maintain adequate supplies to ensure chemical operators have necessary supplies available to complete project work.
• Assist Operators by verifying the completion of steps not involving advanced operator training (ex. weight and charge verifications, insertions, and cleanings).
• Learn and practice GMP, FDA, and Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) regulations.
• Wear the prescribed personal protective equipment for each task.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, problem solving, and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Ability to use a forklift. (Some experience preferred).
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to apply sound judgment and planning to the job function.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
