Job Summary:
This position is responsible for performing multi-functional assembly functions in a product development setting.
This position is expected to perform a variety of tasks as assigned in conjunction with the building (assembly) of our product.
Tasks may vary by work area and work assignments may change based on business demands.
The Ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
- Basic experience with mechanical and electrical systems
- Build product subassemblies or final assemblies
- Fabricate and assemble structural and functional components of refrigeration system, using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Build electronic devices based on reading schematics
- Provide hands on support to the Engineers
- Obtain general understanding of all products and applications related to company offered products/services
- Learn to identify and correct or advise, on technical/operational issues
- Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
- Assist engineers in building prototypes or new products
- Maintain inventory of job materials
- Package finished products
- Set up and verify the functionality of safety equipment
- Start up and shut down production equipment
- Adhere to all applicable quality and work procedures
- Clean production equipment and/or work areas
- Install new equipment
- Separate scrap or waste materials for recycling, reuse, or environmentally sound disposal
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Education and/or Experience: A high school diploma is the minimum educational qualification required to be a manufacturing technician. A technical diploma or Associate Degree is an added advantage.
- Language Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisor, co-workers, and customers.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to help solve practical problems and deal with a variety of technical variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook for email communication.
- Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk. Some lifting is required up to 50 pounds.
