Arc Herkimer is looking for Production Workers. The Production Workers will fulfill production contract assignments working in an integrated setting with people supported by Arc Herkimer. To assist production staff with material handling, trimming, light assembly and de-installation and installation of materials and other duties as required.

Full time, Monday- Friday 7am- 3pm with flexibility. Rate of pay: $14.20/hr

Responsibilities include:

• Must be able to produce minimum standards on jobs that are piece rated while maintaining quality standards. After being trained on the operation of a machine, must be able to safely operate the machinery to meet production demands.
• Assist shipping and receiving staff or other production staff with material handling work as required.
• Assist supervisors on floor, setting up jobs and counting work when necessary
• Perform other duties including but not limited to trimming, light assembly and de-installation and installation of materials as required.
• Stop and bring all quality & production related concerns and questions to a site manager. Bring to the attention of immediate supervisor any situations that would alter production schedules.
• Participate in Motion Time Studies as assigned.
• Fill in at the site manager’s request on different production tasks.
• Ensure that all assigned equipment and agency property is properly used, stored and maintained, and kept in good working condition.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• May be required to obtain certification to operate a forklift or other industrial equipment or motorized equipment specific to work site.

Position requirements:

• High School Graduate or GED preferred.
• Previous industrial experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift, with or without an accommodation.
• Must have valid driver's license.
