This is position is located in Policy and Process Management , Richland County.
Are you the One? We are looking for a Program Coordinator II who serves as supervisor for eligibility policy and process field support team members, serves as a senior team member for Eligibility policy and process development and support, as well as to serve as subject matter expert for Eligibility appeals and fair hearings, program integrity and Attorney General office inquiries and investigations.
- Performs fundamental supervisory and leadership functions in accordance with Department policies and procedures, best practices and Federal and State rules and regulations, especially with regard to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) standards. Maintains an effective organizational team and motivates diverse staff to accomplish mission critical operations and objectives. Promotes workforce engagement.
- Maintain knowledge of Medicaid Eligibility Policy, Procedures and System Functionality.
- Supervises, coordinates and participates in activities to provide policy, process and system support to Agency and EEMS Leadership, Supervisors, Staff and partners. This includes responding to requests for onsite and virtual support, as well as other mechanisms for providing assistance as outlined in the Policy Operational Plan. Ensures guidance provided is timely and accurate.
- Serves as Eligibility Policy and Process Subject Matter Expert for Policies & Procedures, Training, Quality Assurance, System Development and other Agency Initiatives as assigned. Serves as senior team member for completion of more complex work assignments, including project ownership. Mentor Policy and Process team members; participate in development and implementation of peer review process for written documents including but not limited to policy, procedures, Service Manager responses and rebuttal findings.
- Provide subject matter expertise and represent Eligibility Policy for Appeals, Program Integrity and Attorney General's Office inquiries. This includes review of complex cases, participation in pre-hearing conferences and fair hearings. Consults with Office of General Counsel as needed for guidance.
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned.

Bachelor's degree must be from a college or higher education institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and Council for Higher Education (CHEA).
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted with prior State Human Resources approval.

- Sitting or standing for long periods of time.
- Occasional overnight travel.
- Lifting requirements: 20 lbs.
- Overtime and/or weekend work with Deputy approval.
