The Program Manager acts as liaison between ICC and the client through an entire project life cycle from order acceptance to client sign-off. This position has responsibility for successfully planning, budgeting, controlling, and managing deliverables for projects of various size, risk and scope, start-up, and close-out. To ensure that customer satisfaction is met, the Program Manager manages the details of overall project schedules and budgets. This position will also be responsible for proposal and estimate generation, client negotiations, contract review, change orders and sub-contractor communications. The Program Manager oversees the efforts of inter-departmental teams and third-party vendors. This involves extensive interaction with sales, engineering, design, and other departments focused on the delivery of products to clients. Ultimately, this position is expected to ensure the successful completion of projects on schedule and within budget constraints.

  • Prepare and monitor individual project schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure that clients’ input and job requirements are adequately addressed and implemented consistently within contractual requirements and ICC standards.
  • Assume full responsibility for the overall achievement of assigned projects.
  • Develop new business opportunities by building relationships with client and project personnel.
  • Prepare and evaluate upcoming tasks, potential problems, technical information, and staffing priorities.
  • Monitor projects progress versus estimates and when necessary, offer solutions for challenges to get projects back on track while maintaining budget.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to department managers and stakeholders to project timelines, budgets, scope of work and vendor relations.
  • Create and support an atmosphere of collaboration, support, and continual improvement with ICC.
  • Collaborate with cross functional team to ensure work meets overall project objectives.
  • Participate in planning, cost development and scheduling for projects.
  • Generate cost estimates and estimated construction schedules for projects.
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and project team on projects.
  • Provide on-site support of projects as well as follow up support as needed.
  • Organize and lead project meetings

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or other related degree, equivalent combined education, training and experience is required.
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience in project or construction management required.
  • Experience in facility design including piping design, pump and compressors, safety systems, storage tanks, and heat exchangers.
  • Ability to function with minimal direction and escalate issues as appropriate with the required level of urgency.
  • Ability to accurately interpret and critically evaluate design drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and maintain quality service while under pressure.
  • High level of conscientiousness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact effectively in a multidiscipline team setting and with clients.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct in-depth technical, financial and contractual discussions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
