Program Supervisor Outreach Center (ORC)

SUMMARY: Supervises the Outreach Center activities and services. Supervises the employees, volunteers, and coordinates activities and events. The Program Supervisor also provides housing case management, housing assessments (VISPDATS), and outreach services.

DUTIES:

- Provides non-clinical supervision to Outreach Center employees and volunteers and supervision of day-to-day functions of the ORC.

- Responsible for recruitment and orientation/training to new Outreach Center employees and volunteers.

- Provide advocacy and outreach services to individuals requesting help at the Outreach Center.

- Complete annual paperwork related to the grants and data collection for MHIS, HUD, Second Harvest Food Bank, and completes the annual funding application for United Way and attends U.W quarterly meetings.

- Works with the ORC cook to order food from Food Bank, purchase food, and menu planning as needed.

- Tracks spending of food and supplies to maintain a sound budget.

- This position may also provide housing case management (Housing Support Services and Housing Sustaining Services) for 7 units of permanent supportive housing at White Pines apartments.

- This position interacts with community providers such as Carlton County Health and Human Services, Cloquet HRA, United Way, Lakes and Pines CAC, FDLTCC, and others. Hours are Monday-Friday with occasional flexibility to meet the demands of the program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience working with persons with mental illness and substance use disorders.

- Knowledge of housing and community resources or ability to acquire knowledge in a timely manner.

- Supervision experience or management experience and the ability to work as a team member and maintain personal and professional boundaries.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
