Title: Program Support Technician

Location: North Chesterfield, VA

Pay: $20.00-$22.00hr

Contract Assignment: 3-4 Months

Duties/Responsibilities:

• A self-starter with expert customer service skills and the drive to succeed working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in team atmosphere as well as independently with little oversight.

• MUST work well with others (at all levels) and have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Job requires 3-5 days in the office; telework is a possibility.

• Assists the Commonwealth Coordination Bureau Chief in the development and coordination of the Virginia Emergency Support Team (VEST) and the readiness of the Virginia Emergency Operations Center.
• Primary responsibility for providing administrative and organizational support to the Divisions within the Bureau (Operational Coordination, TEED, Planning and Commonwealth Incident Management Assistance Team).

• Serves as Logistics Support Coordinator on one of three VEST rotations.
• Manages inventory of the pantry (snacks, soda, water) as well as meal ordering, kitchen clean up.
• Knowledge of basic office software (Microsoft - including SharePoint and Teams) and Business procedures, including procurement policy.
• Basic Knowledge of Emergency Management and the willingness to learn is a plus. (FEMA IS-100, IS200, IS700, IS800 and /or Basic Academy)
• Ability to coordinate meetings, trainings, and workshops with a variety of stakeholders.
• Assess existing administrative processes and recommend efficiencies
• May be required to work during emergency situations, such as inclement weather, and natural or man-made disasters/events as directed.
• This may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee’s official EWP.
