Job Description:
Under the supervision of the county engineer, or his designee, is responsible for assisting in the development, design, planning, and construction of various highway, bridge and drainage projects.
Essential Elements:
- Assists in development of plans from survey data.
- Assists reviewing records for projects such as deed descriptions, rights-of-ways and easements.
- Performs engineering calculations and assists in the design of projects as assigned.
- Operates various related office equipment.
- Assists in preparation of construction plans and specifications as needed.
- Assists as necessary with administering the work relating to subdivisions and their regulations.
- Knowledge of drafting and graphic design.
- Ability to gather and collate information for the preparation of engineered plans.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with construction contractors, officials, supervisors, associates, and the general public.
- Ability to effectively communicate with public.
- Perform any other duties as assigned or directed by the county engineer.
Minimum Qualifications
- Civil Engineering Graduate from accredited university.
- Must be computer literate to perform assigned tasks.
- Possession of a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
