PROJECT ENGINEER

The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, hands-on, have a natural curiosity for solving problems, and will look for the right technology to improve product performance for our valued customers.

What you will do:

• Design, analyze, optimize, integrate, and deliver component/system designs from concept to production for specialized wear components and systems.
• Develop new methods or applications.
• Own detailed project plans and APQP.
• Leverage analytical methods and test data to help optimize systems and components for performance, value, and quality improvements.
• Create Solidworks CAD models, virtual assemblies, and detailed drawings.
• Demonstrate rigor and discipline using documentation and control systems.
• Utilize learning to create guidelines and specifications for future products and processes.
• Participate in protocol, process, and procedure development or improvement.
• Work cross-functionally across the organization to obtain results.

What it takes:

• Bachelor’s in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated track record of creating and implementing new or improved products.
• Proficient use of SolidWorks for design and analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Strong physics fundamentals understanding.
• Experience using APQP and risk mitigation tools

On the plus side:

• Knowledge of metallurgy fundamentals and heat-treating applications.
• High wear components experience.
• Prior experience working with Horizontal Directional Drilling products.
• Experience with project management tools and principles.
