We have an immediate opening for a qualified Project Manager supporting The Department of Technology (DoIT) in Hauppauge, NY.

The duties and skills of the Program Manager position include but not limited to:

• Accountable for creating and managing a comprehensive Master Project Management Plan with subordinate Risk Management Plan, Human Resources Plan, Communications Plan and Quality Plan for each project.
• Accountable for achieving approved schedule and budget and works with sponsors and stakeholders on any changes (scope changes).
• Accountable for ensuring quality and timely delivery for all project deliverables.
• Continually identify, prioritize and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Maintain strategic alignment of deliverables and reviewing with management decision makers.
• Identify and govern change and process management considerations critical to the success of the project.
• Perform project team management, driving motivation, collaboration and performance.
• Provide an environment conducive to mentoring, coaching and training.
• Define and drive "rightsized" project management processes, leveraging the Suffolk County standards and best practice SDLC Project Methodology.
• Track short-term project metrics such as schedule variances and user satisfaction to drive improvement.
• Develop detailed use cases to support user acceptance testing.

Upcoming Projects:

NEXTGEN

This project involves the implementation of an electronic health records (EHR) system within our correctional facility. The EHR includes practice management to verify patient eligibility and a patient portal to enhance staff efficiency and increase patient engagement. The project is scheduled to fully completed in March of 2022 with the integration of a jail management system from Black Creek called Sallyport©. The Sallyport system implementation is being managed by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office with integrates with Nextgen for housing information. Medicalistics is the vendor responsible for the implementation of Nextgen for the County.

EZMAR

This project involves the implementation of an electronic distribution of prescription forms in our correctional facility. The eZmar implementation is dependent on the Black Creek / Sally Port system being operational. We are targeting March 2022 to complete this project. Medicalistics is the vendor responsible for implementation of eZmar.

OMNICELL

This project involves the implementation of a freestanding computerized dispenser (cabinet with two fully integrated PCs) for medications in the jails after hours or on the weekends. We are targeting February 2022 to complete this project. Medicalistics is the vendor responsible for implementation of Omnicell.

WELLIGENT

This project involves the implementation of a behavioral Health EHR. Clinical programs included within the implementation are mental health outpatient clinics, opioid treatment programs, intensive case management, assisted and outpatient treatment along with clinical services that include psychotherapy, medication management, crisis intervention assessment, case management, opiate replacement therapy, alcoholism and substance abuse counseling, primary health care and referral. We are targeting February 2022 to complete this project. Welligent is the vendor responsible for implementation of their product.

SALESFORCE CITIZEN RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (CRM) EXPANSION

This project involves the expansion of a public sector customer/citizen relationship management (CRM) technology platform called Incapsulate developed on the Salesforce platform. The software has been in place since 2018 and is continually being expanded within the County to support CRM and 3-1-1 initiatives. Additional areas of expansion include Human Services, the Department of Labor and the Department of Public Works.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience working with enterprise application implementations that include government clients.
• Must have experience in agile development methodologies including Scrum.
• Personnel are expected to be dedicated to this effort and work on site for the duration of the performance period.
