Job Overview of the Project Manager

A Project Manager manages jobs and superintendents. This individual is responsible for the profitability and safety of a job. This role requires daily documentation and good communication skills as well as an understanding of all the interdependencies of all aspects of a job. A PM will be required to estimate and produce a job under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager and with the help of Superintendents. A PM will have extensive experience managing large jobs independently, but may require assistance from a SPM on particularly complicated or large jobs. This individual is responsible for the sourcing of labor, materials, equipment, etc. to successfully produce a job. A PM will interface with the client and/ or adjusters on-site and provide daily/ weekly updates on the overall progress of the job and will report to a SPM, when required. The PM will engage with PEs and Directors/ COO to help scope and price opportunities.
