Job description
The Chesapeake Center is seeking a full-time psychological assistant to join our administrative team! Primary responsibilities include: supporting all administrative needs of the testing and medical team divisions, preparing records and reports, sending and tracking psychometrics, and keeping inventory of testing kits and materials.
We are looking for someone who would like to commit to working at our center for at least two years with interest in growth and professional development. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in the field of psychology, looking to gain a few years of experience before pursuing a Master’s degree.
The Chesapeake Center is a large multi-disciplinary private behavioral health center in Bethesda, MD with over 30 providers and a strong administrative support team. We are a fast-paced, paperless environment with a dedicated team of specialists focused on providing the utmost experience and results to our patients.

Full Job Description
- Review, format, and finalize neuropsychological, psychoeducational, and ADHD assessment reports
- Review, format and finalize psychiatric consultation reports
- Handle requests from patients re: redacted reports or report edits
- Track timeline from intake to feedback to ensure reports are completed in a timely manner
- Send and obtain release of information forms from collateral reporters (e.g., parents, teachers)
- Share and request records from schools, outside providers, etc.
- Send and track electronic and paper psychometrics
- Score electronic and paper psychometrics and organize/prepare data for providers
- Maintain inventory of testing kits, electronic/paper psychometrics, and paper record forms/protocols
- Create and update interactive forms through AdobeSign
- Assist patients with scheduling, billing, and administrative requests
- Ensure providers adhere to standard reporting procedures
- Attend testing team meetings, case conferences, neuropsychological seminars, and continuing education meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (telephone and in-person)
- Ability to perform multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
- Fast typing and processing speed
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
