• How to Qualify. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree/Education: Have a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited psychology program or a program acceptable to the Office of the Surgeon General, U.S. Air Force.
  • Certifications Possess and maintain current certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO).
  • Experience: The HCW will have 24 months of experience within the last 36 months in the same specialty listed in Exhibit 5. Must have one year experience in the last three years in the evaluation and treatment of patients who have pain, psychological factors affecting their physical condition, or difficulty coping with medical problems.
  • Licensure/Registration: Must have a current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands. Must maintain a full, valid, unrestricted, and current license.
  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship.
  • Credentialing: Ability to pass background check and drug screen. Current physical and immunizations.
• Physical Requirements: You must be on the premises to perform the job. The environment is fast-paced and multifaceted, with conditions and duties that can change quickly throughout a shift.
