Due to growth, we have a full-time opening for a Doctorate Level Licensed Psychologists to work with patients in our outpatient mental health clinic, and on our inpatient mental health unit. The position will be a mix of conducting psychological evaluations and providing psychotherapy for older adolescents and adults. The psychologist will work with a diverse population, and a variety of disorders, with an opportunity to have a specialization. Some common psychological evaluations will include testing questions related to ADHD, learning disabilities, personality disorders, diagnosis clarity, and treatment recommendations.
This position would be part of a multi-specialty behavioral health clinic which services children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients. Team members will include Psychiatry (both pediatric and adult), Psychotherapy (CBT, DBT) Neuropsychology, Pediatric Psychology, and Substance Use Providers.

Job Summary:
The Psychologist provides diagnostic assessment and appropriate ongoing therapy for patients diagnosed with a mental illness. Provides psychological testing services by administering and interpreting appropriate psychometrics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct Care- Provides mental health care to patients that meets evidence based practice standards, provides consultation to inpatient mental health patients upon request and determines medical necessity and appropriate treatment.
  • Coordination of Care- Ensures coordination of care within the mental health clinic and with other care providers (primary care, specialty care, etc.), social service and other entities and family members.
  • Records Management- Documents comprehensive first evaluation inclusive of DSM V diagnostic criteria, documents comprehensive progress note as applicable, ensures utilization management of patient care, completes clinician portions of other documents, completes closure of record after episode of care, demonstrates effective, necessary, and sufficient treatment were provided. Creates treatment plan that reflects appropriate, measureable and time-based goals with regard to patient symptoms, diagnoses, needs and abilities.
  • Completes treatment plans (all applicable areas including signatures) in a timely manner consistent with policy
  • Completes documentation of visits standards of Medical Staff by-laws.
  • Treatment Team participation- Responsible for being an active member of the treatment team. Demonstrates ability and willingness to be approachable and available for consultation. Is an active participant in multi-disciplinary staffing.
  • Testing- Upon organizational credentialing guidelines, performs psychometric testing. Shows competence in providing medically necessary testing based on the referral questions/diagnosis or symptoms.
  • General Clinician Accountabilities- Identifies appropriate procedure charge for service provided, reviews and acknowledges patient insurance information and provides internal/external education upon request.
  • Productivity- Meets productivity standard of 75%
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Education, Training or Degree Required:
1. Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology/ APA approved program preferred
2. Completion of Doctoral Internship/ APA approved program preferred
License/Registration/Certification Required: (will be primary source verified by HR)

1. Declared competency with licensing board in relevant areas of practice
