AFI is currently seeking an experienced Receptionist/Administrative Assistant for our busy mental health practice. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and have prior administrative experience. This candidate must be able to exercise discretion and adhere to confidentiality policies and should be able to prioritize tasks in a timely manner while keeping the front desk tidy and organized.
This role will report to the Office Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
- Answer multi-line phone system and respond to emails
- Greet clients in reception area and conduct Covid-19 health screenings
- Complete telephone intake process with potential new clients
- Send and track new client paperwork in client portal
- Strong administrative and organization skills
- Data collection and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in-person and over the phone
- Ability to prioritize tasks and problem-solve
- Adhere to HIPAA confidentiality policies
- Maintain call logs and intake data
- Collect daily mail and distribute
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying and faxing as needed
- Administrative support for AFI Directors, Faculty and Officer Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Prior administrative experience
- Must be computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Suite and G Suite,
- Experience with Electronic Health Record systems strongly preferred.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred
This is an in-person part-time position, Monday-Thursday 1pm - 5pm, at 16 hours per week. Salary depends on skills and experience.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Masks are required at all times when Covid-19 community transmissions levels are Medium or High based on Austin Travis County Staging Dashboard. Health screenings are conducted with all visitors entering suite. Enhanced disinfecting. Air filtration in use.
