Harrisburg University of Science and Technology is seeking a Part Time Faculty member to teach accounting and finance courses to undergraduate business students. This course is part of the Management, Entrepreneurship, and Business Administration program, which focuses on producing college graduates who understand business, operations, and decision making in the current technology driven environment. Topics taught in this course are 1) the accounting cycle, 2) cash flow, 3) financial statements, 4) budgeting, 5) time value of money, 6) financial analysis, and 7) investing.
As a part-time instructor you will be responsible for curriculum delivery, development, and classroom instruction, day-to-day program operations, for the purpose of guiding undergraduate students towards successful term-to-term progression and graduation. This individual will also engage with professional associations, businesses, and the local community to promote the visibility and stature of the program. Courses are taught in-person, online, in Harrisburg, and in Philadelphia.

This position will allow *the ability to work remotely and/or in Philadelphia in addition to Harrisburg.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES *(Duties may vary and other duties may be assigned.)
Provide instruction and support to undergraduate business students
Develop courses and course modules on accounting, finance, investment, and regulations.
Work closely with other professors in building courses that integrate concepts of reporting, control, management, accounting, and finance.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• A graduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business from an accredited school
• Teaching, training, and/or coaching experience
• A deep knowledge of accounting and finance
• Willingness to learn and improve at teaching at the college level

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• PhD in accounting, finance, economics, or business from an accredited school
• Certified Public Accountant
• Minimum five years of experience as an accountant
• Experience and knowledge of actuarial science
• Experience teaching at the college level preferred
• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Record of effective collaboration and teamwork
• Able to work remotely and/or in Philadelphia a plus
