Job Description:

The Division of Corporate and Professional Education invite applications for the following anticipated instructor vacancy for Fall 2022.

Community Health Worker Instructor Support

Dates: November 1 - December 15

Days: Tuesdays/Thursdays

Times: 6:00 - 9:30

Lynn Campus

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Provide required 32 hours of Community Health Worker (CHW) lessons developed to align with the Department of Public Health ten competencies to prepare students for entry-level positions in community health.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fulfill the 32 hour DPH required Community Health Worker's Lesson Plan
  • Instruct students
  • Assess & grade Students regarding course competencies
  • Adhere to DPH course requirements.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Social Work or another related field required.
  • Experience working as a CHW and/or experience supervising CHW or similar positions required.
  • Knowledge of teaching or training preferred.
  • Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations
  • Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.

COVID VACCINATION REQUIREMENT:
Candidates for employment should be aware that all North Shore Community College students, faculty and staff are required to be fully vaccinated by January, 2022. Accordingly, initial employment is dependent upon receipt and verification of full vaccination status records; details of how to fulfill vaccine record verification requirements will be provided during the hire and onboarding process.

Salary commensurate with education and experience.
