Description: Looking for a candidate who has experience in the security equipment industry and IT industry as well as working knowledge of SAP
Essential Job Functions:
- Create and review Purchase Orders (POs) on our SAP system
- Purchase all ISTC products at the highest quality and lowest possible price
- Update Products and maintain price spreadsheet accordingly in SAP
- Follow up on new and back orders to confirm the correct shipping and delivery date
- Arrange orders for delivery through national and international freights
- Follow up and confirm pricing on new orders
- Report any discrepancies to the vendors or carries on orders placed or received by ISTC
- Revise Purchase Orders (POs) that are on hold
- Request credit on POs that have been recorded and billed incorrectly
- Work closely with the RMA and the Sales Assistants regarding orders
- Communicate and provide information to supervisors and co-workers regarding orders
- Negotiate price, delivery, and credit terms with vendors.
- Perform inventory analysis and negotiate special prices for inventory and specific projects
- Responsible for efficient purchasing of inventory, supplies, and capital equipment.
- Evaluates and recommends new/substitute vendors, when necessary.
- Maintains good working relationships with vendors and keep accurate records.
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered.
- Resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
- Work closely with RMA and the Sales Assistants regarding orders.
- Arrange orders for delivery through national and international freights.
- Report any discrepancies to the vendors or carries on orders placed or received.
- Link items to sales orders and POs.
- Export licenses for specific thermal cameras.
- Create reports to monitor existing PO.
- Get the proper approval for the prepaid order.
- Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure optimal stock levels.
- Works closely with warehouse to ensure the correct amount and merchandise has been received.
- Conduct the inventory count.
- Engage in procurement planning with client service departments. Routinely meet and communicate with client departments in order to identify and provide high quality service to meet client service delivery requirements on a timely basis. Provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information in a courteous, efficient and timely manner
Skills
- Good understanding of procedures and ability to read, interpret, explain and properly apply rules, regulations, laws, policies and procedures
- Advanced knowledge of SAP, Excel
- Solid organizational skills
- As a Purchasing Agent you will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals and find more profitable suppliers.
- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Develop negotiation strategies and close agreements with optimal terms.
- Evaluate, manage and mitigate risks
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management

- Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
Other duties and responsibilities:
- Develop business relationships with suppliers
- Performs other purchasing or inventory control duties as necessary or as requested
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or another related field
- 5+ years of experience in the industry, preferably in the Security or IT industry
- Fully accredited to work in the USA.
- Have great negotiation and persuasion skills.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong computer skills in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP by Design.
