Jamestown Advanced Products, a family-owned metal manufacturer in Jamestown, NY, is looking to add an experienced Purchasing Assistant to our team!

Responsibilities for Purchasing Assistant

• • Issue purchase orders to suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers
• • Ensure that orders received are accurate
• • Ensure goods received are not damaged
• • Handle goods throughout the purchasing process
• • Work closely with relevant departments to ensure products purchased are in line with the needs of the company

Qualifications for Purchasing Assistant

• • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• • Experience working as a purchasing assistant in the industry is preferred
• • Good understanding of popular products in the industry
• • Excellent interpersonal and social skills
• • Good verbal and written communication skills
• • Positive and professional demeanor

Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include but are not limited to 401(k), health, dental and vision insurance. Paid Vacation.

This job is located in Jamestown, New York, and reports in person to the office at 2855 Girts Road. Remote work for this position is not offered. United States work authorization is preferred but not required. Work authorization can be offered to the ideal candidate with experience.
