POSITION SUMMARY:

The Landscape Purchasing Assistant is responsible for purchasing materials for our Corona and San Diego offices. The successful candidate must be detail oriented, computer literate and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Purchase Landscape and Irrigation materials

· Negotiations

• Data Entry, Material Tracking, Master Buy Outs
• Create Purchase Orders to send to vendors

· Track and send daily field orders to Field Personal

· Track 2-Week Schedules

• Identify and update any invoice discrepancies from accounting
• Always represent the organization in a positive and professional manner
• Maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with customers and staff
• Occasional commute to jobsites, vendor facilities and our Escondido office

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· Intermediate/proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office

· Purchasing and/or negotiating skills

· Budgeting and variance tracking

• Confident communication skills

· Knowledge of both irrigation and drainage systems helpful, but not required

· Knowledge of green goods helpful, but not required

• Ability to maintain vendor relationships

· Must be able to maintain high volume of work and be organized

· Bi-lingual preferred, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
